The Cardiff Bay Cycle trail is in close proximity to the Taff trail and it is easy to combine these two iconic trails into a days adventure.
If you are using your own bike you can consider park on the barrage. near the Custom House and choose your direction, the barrage has a grassy slope to picnic on or you can get food and drink on Memaid Quay.
The Taff trail will take you through Bute Park and on to Catell Coch this is probably the limit of a days ride but there is loads more if you have the stamina.
The Pont y Werin, bridge. This is a 140 metre bridge crossing the river Ely linking Penarth with the international sports village. It allows cyclists and pedestrians on the Cardiff Bay cycle trail to Ely.
